About the position

As a Sr. Financial Controller, you will oversee the 360-degree financial control of one or more solar park projects, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with tax and filing regulations.

Your role will be pivotal in managing monthly financial reports, bank reporting, and collaborating with teams across the organization to maintain financial health and streamline operations while navigating changing priorities.

You will work closely with colleagues across Finance and other departments, auditors, local administrators and technical teams, and you will play a key role in the divestment process of solar parks. Your success in this role will be measured by your ability to ensure precise financial oversight and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, while also fostering strong collaboration and continuous improvement of the way we work.

You will be reporting to the Head of Operational Controlling and working closely with a team of four colleagues who proactively share knowledge and ideas, collaborating to achieve shared goals.

The role is based in our head office in Hellerup (Copenhagen).

Key responsibilities:

Prepare monthly financial reports, including reconciled profit/loss and balance sheets.
Prepare quarterly bank covenant reporting to our financial partners.
Review tax calculations prepared by local administration and ensure compliance with filing requirements.
Monitor and manage compliance with regulatory issues, including VAT, annual reports, and tax filings.
Work closely with auditors, administrators, and internal teams to support financial operations.
Collaborate on solar park divestments and assist with financial controlling and payment approvals.

These characteristics will help you succeed in this role:

Relevant education, such as HD2/HD(R), financial controller, Cand.merc.aud, or similar
4-5 years of experience in financial controlling or auditing, with a strong understanding of full financial statements
You thrive on having a big responsibility, working independently, and taking ownership for your tasks from start to finish - while being ready to step in and support where needed
Your ability to maintain a broad business- and project perspective helps you understand how your work plays into that of other departments
A strong attention to detail is key to meticulous calculations and spotting small deviances
Being adaptable enables you to take on new challenges, spot opportunities for improvement and shift your focus needed
Thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment is key in busy department where priorities can shift from day to day
Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is a must.

It's a plus if...

You have experience in bookkeeping, particularly in the renewable energy or construction sectors.
You have experience in Business Central and PowerBI.
