Financial Controller

About the position
As a Financial Controller, you will oversee the 360-degree financial control of one or more solar park projects, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with tax and filing regulations. Your role will be pivotal in managing monthly financial reports, preparing budgets, and collaborating with teams across the organization to maintain financial health and streamline operations.
You will work closely with colleagues across the finance department, auditors, administrators, and technical teams, playing a key role in the divestment process of solar parks. Your success in this role will be measured by your ability to ensure precise financial oversight, foster strong collaboration, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
You will be part of a collaborative, team-oriented environment, working closely with a team of four colleagues to achieve shared goals. Reporting directly to the Manager of Financial Controlling, you’ll be based at our head office in Hellerup, Denmark.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly financial reports, including reconciled profit/loss and balance sheets.
- Develop yearly budgets and provide quarterly updates to forecasts.
- Review tax calculations prepared by local administration and ensure compliance with filing requirements.
- Monitor and manage compliance with regulatory issues, including VAT, annual reports, and tax filings.
- Work closely with auditors, administrators, and internal teams to support financial operations.
- Collaborate on solar park divestments and assist with financial controlling and payment approvals.
About you:
- Relevant economic background, such as HD2/HD(R), financial controller, Cand.merc.aud, or similar.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in financial controlling or auditing, with a strong understanding of full financial statements.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain a broader business and project perspective.
- Adaptable, able to take on new challenges while managing high responsibility.
- Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in English both verbally and written.
It's a Plus If:
- You have experience in bookkeeping or auditing, particularly within the renewable energy or construction sectors.
